There are a lot of scams on the net that let you
download free
screensaver. BEWARE
Free screensaver they may be but a majority come with extras like,
Spyware that lists your internet usage and then compiles
a list to sell to markers. Let me explain, You download
a really cool animated
screensaver, You then search on
the net for a new sofa, you visit various sofa retail
sites. All of this info is stored by the spyware
downloaded with your
screensaver and
then sent via your internet connection to the spyware
company who in turn sell that info to interested
parties. Legally they are doing nothing wrong as you
downloaded the
screensaver. Morally it is a different
story, this is surely an infringement of privacy and
should be dealt with by law. I have only found one
company (so far) that assures you will not download anything
sinister with your free
screensaver.
They do however show a very small advert on the
bottom, nothing is totally free but at least they are
upfront in telling you what you will get. They have
